Head of General Administration and Digital Archives, ITS General Bureau and Bureaucratic Reform Sri Lestari SST said that this visit was one of a series of MNU agendas in Indonesia. In collaboration with the Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum, MNU traveled to various universities in East Java to learn about libraries and information management. "One of them wants to learn about archives at ITS," he explained.

Therefore, during this MNU visit, ITS held a workshop containing materials regarding archives. The first material is entitled Intelligent and Smart System Archive. This material discusses the advantages of a filing system that makes good use of digital technology. Not only that, this material also provides a simulation regarding creating certificates automatically using Autocrat.

Furthermore, the ITS General Administration and Digital Archives Section also had the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge in managing archives at ITS. One of them is regarding grouping archive types based on their value. There are eight types implemented at ITS, namely information archives, legal archives, administrative archives, scientific archives, financial archives, historical archives and educational archives.

Apart from holding workshops, delegates from MNU also had the opportunity to visit the ITS General Administration and Digital Archives offices. The delegation from MNU to visit ITS itself consisted of various backgrounds. Sri said that the delegates consisted of MNU management, archives and library staff, students, and organizations at MNU.

Sri hopes that through this visit the delegates from MNU can learn new things about archival management at ITS and can use them as references. Apart from that, he also hopes that this visit can be a bridge for ITS and MNU to collaborate in the future. "Perhaps this could also be a form of ITS archival support to increase ITS ranking through international visits like this," he concluded. (*)
